The PHV works alongside individuals and groups who often face systemic barriers to care.
These include:
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
- People with disability
- Carers
- People living in poverty
- People in regional and remote SA
- Culturally and linguistically diverse communities
- LGBTIQA+ people
- People with lived experience of mental distress
- Older people
- People who are homeless
- People who are, or have been, incarcerated
- People who have experienced family or domestic violence
- Young people
We recognise that many people belong to more than one of these groups— and that the impacts of exclusion are often layered and complex.
