Lived Experience Telephone Support Service (LETSS)
LETSS connects you with trained mental health workers who draw on their own lived experience to support you in making decisions that feel right for you. Please note this is not a crisis service.
The service is available every night of the year, including weekends and public holidays, from 5:00 pm to 11:30 pm. You can call 1800 013 755 or use their online chat. Calls are free (mobile charges may apply), and you can choose to stay anonymous.
LETSS can support you with:
- information about mental health conditions and where to find services,
- guidance on navigating the mental health system and getting referrals,
- real-time support if you feel you are becoming unwell, and
- follow-up or wellbeing checks if needed, including after hospital discharge.
